ABOUT LOUISE

Having completed her studies at the Inscape School of Design in Johannesburg, Louise Niehaus established her own interior design business in 1986.

Louise’s many years of experience and in-depth knowledge of various fields of design, combined with her innate artistic talent, enable her to offer her clients a turnkey service. As each project is unique and presents its own requirements and challenges, she tailors her services to meet these demands.

Key to her success is her belief in embracing the client’s vision and working with the client through various permutations and possibilities until a point is reached when its full potential has been explored and the vision comes to life in vivid reality.

In Louise’s view, form and function are inseparable. ‘Ultimately,’ she says, ‘an area must serve the purpose for which it was designed.’ To this end, her interiors are simultaneously chic and functional, combining purpose with elegance and comfort with flair. Her approach is trend-aware rather than trend-based, thus extending the longevity of the client’s interior.

Her unique understanding of perspective, balance and harmony combines with her close attention to detail and quality to create interiors that not only meet but exceed her clients’ highest expectations.
